Jenny is Marni’s boss at the Four Oaks riding stables. She has wispy red hair and a bright, freckly face with light green eyes. At 5″5 she is quite a stocky lass, not overweight by any means, but more athletic and great with handling the horses.
When Marni had first started working at Four Oaks, Jenny had not really paid her much heed as Jenny is the type of person who wants you to prove yourself before she makes any advances with small talk and friendships. When she saw that Marni was hardworking and dedicated, she let the distance between them close and soon became Marni’s friend. They are both in a similar boat, passionate about their work and having it be their soul focus so it made both their working and social relationship quite comfortable.
At first impressions, Jenny comes across as a little sour and constantly in work mode. A kind of, “do this, do that, don’t argue” woman which could make her quite abrasive. However, at the end of the day when the horses were being groomed and settled in for the night, Jenny would always warm up and could become quite chatty now that the hard work was over. You always knew if Jenny held you in high regard because she would actually stop asking you to do things, instead aiming her orders at the people who she felt needed to be told what to do otherwise it wouldn’t get done.
Her and Marni had quite a solid working relationship. As Marni had been there for so long and knew the ins-and-outs of how the stables ran, Jenny rarely had to tell her to get on with something. Instead, they would take opportunities to have idle chatter when they could and they would often hang out together after work, usually at Marni’s place or their local bar.
